Subscription Form

The Subscription Form tool creates a form that collects user email addresses, generates them into a subscriber list and provides the option to integrate with your existing Mailchimp, Vision6 or Campaign Monitor databases.

⚙️ Settings

Basic

  • Fields - choose what information you want from your subscribers (first name, last name and/or email address).
  • Select List - select which email manager to integrate (Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor or Vision6).
  • If you do not have a third-party email marketing service but would still like to collect emails, select New List.
  • If you have created a New List you can access that list of emails from the Results section of the Dashboard under Subscriptions.
  • List Name - provide a title for this subscriber list.
  • Confirmation Message - customize the message shown to users upon successful registration.
  • Confirmation email - choose whether to send an email confirmation to users.

Advanced

  • Block Title - add a heading to display at the top of the tool.
  • Block Description - add a sub-heading or descriptive text to display beneath the heading.

Integrate with a third-party email platform

  1. Select which fields you wish to collect (first name, last name, email).
  2. Under Select List choose the platform you wish to integrate with. Social Pinpoint integrates with MailChimp, Campaign Monitor or Vision6.
  3. Enter the API key and List ID supplied by your email platform. You may need to refer to your email platform's help documentation to access these.
  4. Select Save.

Access subscription list in Social Pinpoint

If you have selected New List:

  1. Name your list in the block settings of the Subscription tool. This will make your list easier to find if you have multiple Subscription tools on your site.
  2. To access your list go to Dashboard Reports.
  3. On clicking Reports, you will see a new line appear in the Dashboard immediately below reports called Subscriptions. Select this option.
  4. You will be taken to a page displaying all subscription lists collected within your platform.
